[KOGAS Press release/January 20, 2025] The Korea Gas Corporation(KOGAS) has announced its 2025 order plan, set to allocate a total of KRW 1.26 trillion across construction, services, and goods procurement for the year. The plan, which was publicly disclosed, marks a 127.3 billion won increase compared to last year's figures.

This year’s orders are broken down as follows: KRW 869.5 billion (211 cases) for construction, KRW 234.2 billion (381 cases) for services, and KRW 158.6 billion (607 cases) for goods purchases. Among the largest construction projects is the KRW 667.7 billion order (scheduled for February) for the construction of storage tanks and auxiliary facilities at the Dangjin Base, which represents a significant portion of KOGAS's overall construction spending.

Notably, KOGAS has also emphasized its commitment to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by conducting bids for 554 goods orders exclusively for SMEs, aiming to boost opportunities for businesses facing a downturn in domestic demand.

In a move to align with the government’s economic revitalization policies, KOGAS plans to execute over KRW 1.1 trillion of these orders in the first half of the year.

KOGAS President Choi Yeon-hye stressed the importance of the corporation’s role in stabilizing livelihoods amid global and domestic economic challenges. "As the global economy is expected to deteriorate and the domestic economy is likely to slow down this year, KOGAS's responsibility to ensure economic stability is crucial," she remarked.
