[HHI Social Media/November 14, 2024] HD Hyundai Heavy Industries(HHI) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the TRION FPU(Floating Production Unit) offshore plant on November 13th at Ulsan.

The unit measures 94 meters in length, 94 meters in width, and 57 meters in height, with a gross weight of over 44,000 tons. It can produce 100,000 barrels of crude oil and 4.1 million cubic meters (m³) of natural gas per day.

HHI will build the entire Trion FPU, including the topside and hull, and plans to set sail for Mexico in the first half of 2027.
