[Offshore Energy/July 24, 2024] The newest vessel to join the GasLog fleet, LNG carrier GasLog Italy, was officially named at Hanwha Ocean shipyard in Geoje, South Korea.
The naming ceremony was held on July 10, 2024, and Ilaria Azzimonti, Head of LNG Portfolio at Eni, served as the vessel’s godmother, christening the ship. The delivery is scheduled for August 23, 2024.
As per GasLog, this LNG carrier is 294.9 meters long and 46.4 meters wide. It has a cargo tank capacity of 174,000 cbm and is powered by two HP-2S MEGI engines.

To remind, the launching ceremony for the vessel was held at Hanwha Ocean shipyard at the beginning of 2024. Its construction began in March 2023.
GasLog Italy is one of four vessels currently being built by Hanwha Ocean, scheduled for delivery to GasLog between 2024 and 2025. The shipping company ordered the LNG carriers from DSME at the end of 2021.
