[KOGAS Press release/ November 5, 2024] On November 5, the Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) convened a meeting with presidents of urban gas companies on wholesale and retail at its headquarters in Daegu.

The event saw the participation of over 30 attendees, including KOGAS President Choi Yeon-hye, senior management from KOGAS, and representatives from 13 regional city gas companies across South Korea.

The meeting focused on two key topics: first, the future of the international LNG market and strategies for enhancing competitiveness in the gas sector; and second, collaborative measures to promote mutual growth and development within the natural gas industry.

In her remarks, KOGAS President Choi Yeon-hye emphasized the importance of the discussions, stating, "We believe that the valuable insights shared by urban gas industry leaders today will serve as a crucial foundation for advancing the natural gas sector and strengthening its competitiveness. KOGAS is committed to supporting the development of the national energy industry and will continue to work closely with urban gas companies to provide a stable and economical supply of natural gas."
