[KOGAS Press release/ November 5, 2025] The Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) announced that it hosted the “2025 Mutual Growth Council with Partner Companies for Equipment Parts Localization Technology Development” at its headquarters in Daegu from November 4 to 5.

The two-day event was organized to share achievements in localizing LNG facility components and to discuss future directions for joint technology development, in line with the government’s national agenda, “Small and Medium Businesses that Grow with Future New Technologies and Jump to Global.”

More than 30 participants attended, including experts from KOGAS headquarters, five LNG production bases (Pyeongtaek, Incheon, Tongyeong, Samcheok, and Jeju), and representatives from seven supply partner companies.

During the meeting, KOGAS presented a range of support initiatives for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—covering technology development, productivity enhancement, and market expansion. The company also shared updates on 2025 localization technology development projects, proposed new R&D and demonstration projects, and gathered feedback from participating suppliers.

In particular, attendees reviewed progress on major localization efforts such as ultra-low temperature LNG pumps, gas bearing pistons, and low-NOx burners, while exploring ways to advance technology development and expand commercialization of these components.

KOGAS stated that it will actively incorporate the council’s feedback into its future localization technology strategies. The corporation also plans to provide empirical testbeds for SME-developed products and support participation in domestic and international exhibitions to help broaden global market access.
