[Chosun Biz/ November18, 2025] Hanwha Ocean has reorganized parts of its corporate structure this month by integrating its E&I (Energy &Infrastructure) division into the existing Offshore Business Unit (OBU), creating a new Energy Plant Unit (EPU).

Previously, the company’s OBU focused on building offshore facilities, including FPSOs, offshore structures, and offshore wind turbine installation vessels (WTIVs).

The E&I was formed after Hanwha Group acquired Daewoo Shipbuilding &Marine Engineering, consolidating plant engineering and offshore wind functions from within the group. It has since overseen the development of onshore plants and offshore wind power complexes, including oil refineries and power generation facilities. 

With the latest restructuring, Hanwha Ocean aims to streamline operations by eliminating overlapping functions and accelerating decision-making through the integration of its plant-related businesses.
