[KOGAS Press release/ December 18, 2023] The Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) convened a vital assembly on gas industry safety culture practices at its headquarters in Daegu, underscoring a commitment to enhancing safety awareness and averting accidents. Attended by experts from various gas industry-related organizations, the assembly drew the participation of over 100 employees from KOGAS, the Korea Gas Technology Corporation, and collaborating companies.

The agenda of the event comprised the reading and endorsement of resolutions pertaining to safety culture practices, the proclamation of safety and health environment management policies, and the advocacy for relief measures supporting safety culture practices. Attendees made a collective pledge to actively contribute to the establishment of a secure workplace fostering trust among workers, with a focus on comprehensive safety management. They also committed to implementing action guidelines aimed at ingraining a safety culture.

During the assembly, participants exchanged insights on the accomplishments in promoting safety management and preventing gas accidents over the past year. The overarching goal was to elevate safety consciousness and prioritize the safety of both the general populace and workers in all gas construction endeavors.
