[KOGAS Press release/ November 6, 2024] The Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) held its annual "2024 KOGAS Corporate Partnership Forum" on November 5, bringing together executives and employees from small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) suppliers to discuss shared growth opportunities. The event, which took place at the Interbulgo Daegu Hotel, was attended by approximately 70 participants, including representatives from 29 SME suppliers such as HS Valve Co.
The forum focused on fostering collaboration between KOGAS and its SME partners, with a key highlight being the introduction of the "SME TechMarket." This government-backed online platform is designed for public institutions to help SMEs with high-growth potential by directly verifying and supporting their innovative technologies and products. KOGAS also shared information about government-supported initiatives aimed at promoting localized technology development among SMEs.
In addition, the corporation highlighted the achievements of its various SME support programs, which have been instrumental in enhancing the competitiveness of smaller suppliers.
"We hope that this event will provide a platform for small and medium-sized suppliers to actively engage in the SME TechMarket, leading to practical outcomes such as increased sales and strengthened business performance," said a KOGAS official. "Looking ahead, KOGAS is committed to supporting the sustainable growth of SMEs through diverse shared growth initiatives."
KOGAS has been operating its Corporate Partnership Council since 2012 to strengthen the management capabilities of its small and medium-sized partners and facilitate communication between the corporation and its suppliers.
