[Yonhap/December 19, 2024] HD Korea Shipbuilding & Ocean Engineering (KSOE) announced on December 18th that it has been included in the 2024 Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI), marking the first time a Korean shipbuilding company has achieved this distinction.

The DJSI, released annually by S&P Global, recognizes companies based on their performance in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management. The index selects the top 10% of the 2,500 largest global companies by market capitalization, with just 250 companies making the cut. Approximately 20 South Korean companies were included in this year’s list.

KSOE's inclusion was driven by strong performance in areas such as climate change strategy, human rights management, supply chain ESG practices, health and safety policies, and ESG risk management. KSOE received praise for its comprehensive approach to sustainability and governance.
