The initiative, formalized during the launch of the "Naval MRO Cluster Council" at Hanwha’s Geoje Shipyard, underscores the company's ambition to dominate the Indo-Pacific MRO market and boost the regional  industry.

The newly formed council includes prominent local firms such as Seongdong Shipbuilding and SK Ocean Plant, among others based in Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Geoje. Together, they will work to establish a comprehensive MRO cooperation network that strengthens the competitiveness of South Korea’s naval support capabilities.
